Slow Studio has been awarded third prize in the tender phase of the INCASÒL competition for 18 homes in Teià, under the motto Ideas de Luz.

Our partner Jade Serra attended a meeting on November 27 at the Ministry of Transport, Sustainable Mobility, Housing and Urban Agenda of the Government of Spain, with the Directorate-General for Urban Agenda and Architecture, regarding the Indicate project in which we participate as members of AuS Arquitectes: Arquitectes per la Sostenibilitat.

On November 21, the second Architecture Decarbonisation Conference will be held, organised in collaboration with Agrupació AuS Arquitectura i Sostenibilitat at the Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC). Our partner Jade Serra, as a board member of AuS, will give a presentation and moderate the debate and Q for the Tools for a new architecture section.

Our partner Jade Serra attended the Interihotel BCN 23 Congress, the design event for hotels and restaurants, last Thursday, October 19, and Friday, October 20, where she participated in various discussion panels on new materials and technologies applied to architecture.

Slow Studio has signed the European Climate Pact, a movement of people united by a common cause, where each individual takes action within their own sector to build a more sustainable Europe for everyone. The Pact, launched by the European Commission, is part of the European Green Deal and is helping the EU meet its goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, Jade Serra will present Zero-Impact Architecture at the VII Congress of Architecture and Health: Architecture and the Health of the Planet and People, organized by the Barcelona Delegation of the Official College of Architects of Catalonia COAC and the Architecture and Sustainability Group and the Association of Geobiological Studies GEA.

Last Saturday, May 6, 2023, Jade Serra delivered a presentation at the 29th BioCultura Barcelona Fair, which took place at Palau Sant Jordi between May 4 and 7, 2023. The presentation, titled Bioclimatism and Biomaterials for Decarbonized Construction, was part of the Collaborative Housing and Regenerative Habitat conferences organized by EcoHabitar.

On Thursday, April 27, Laia Montserrat from Slow Studio delivered a presentation as part of the Model. Festival d'Arquitectures de Barcelona 2023, which this year is presented under the theme 'Radical Empathy'. The conference, titled Minimum Impact Architecture, took place during the session 'House of the Future' at the multidisciplinary space ConnectHORT / Bioma and was organized by the Bioarquitectura Mediterránea association.

Today, March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we highlight their role in the construction sector. This is a field in which women are underrepresented. At Slow Studio, we are pleased not only that the practice was founded by a woman, Jade Serra, but also that we have 8 women on our team, representing more than 65% of the workforce.
