Indicate Meeting at the Ministry

Our partner Jade Serra attended a meeting on November 27 at the Ministry of Transport, Sustainable Mobility, Housing and Urban Agenda of the Government of Spain, with the Directorate-General for Urban Agenda and Architecture, regarding the Indicate project in which we participate as members of AuS Arquitectes: Arquitectes per la Sostenibilitat.
The INDICATE project aims to determine the carbon emissions value of the building sector in our country. It is an accelerator that addresses one of the most fundamental challenges in decarbonizing buildings: the lack of data to support policy formulation and strategic business decision-making. Its objective is to provide a project and co-financing framework to generate much-needed building life cycle carbon emissions data in Europe. This data must be generated now if the industry and policies on building decarbonization are to be aligned with the 1.5°C target of the 2015 Paris COP21 agreement.
The data generated will support: mandatory Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of products, the establishment of benchmarks for whole life cycle (WLC) carbon emissions, and the implementation of national regulations.
