Small Homes, Low Tech and Decarbonisation. Article in EcoHabitar

In its spring issue, EcoHabitar magazine No. 77 (Spring 2023) commissioned our studio to write an article on Small Homes, Low Tech and Decarbonisation.
EcoHabitar is a specialist publication on healthy building, ecology and health, with strict project selection criteria.
The article by our partner Jade Serra argues that, beyond energy efficiency, architecture must urgently take into account the calculation of CO2 emissions as well as resource efficiency.
The article goes into detail on current regulations for calculating and limiting CO2 emissions, and the need to begin a decarbonisation roadmap in our country.
It also explains the relationship between a home’s operational and embodied carbon consumption, depending on its m2 and the lifestyle of its occupants.
