Gerard Méndez

GERARD is an in-house architect AT SLOW STUDIO

Gerard Méndez is currently in his fifth year of architecture studies at the ETSAB – Barcelona School of Architecture, where he is completing his Final Degree Project. He is particularly interested in construction and materiality, understanding how technique and detail shape the aesthetics and environment of a building.

Concurrently, he is drawn to history and digital tools applied to design, such as 3D modeling, combining an interest in technological innovation with the pursuit of context-sensitive architecture.

Gerard currently collaborates with the Slow Studio project team, participating in processes related to construction, BIM methodology, and sustainability. He is especially interested in local studios that focus on small-scale projects, material experimentation, and the reinterpretation of traditional approaches.
