The House in Vilassar de Dalt in Síntesis Arquitectura magazine

Publicado el 25 December 2025

The House in Vilassar de Dalt project has been published in Síntesis Arquitectura magazine, a publication specializing in contemporary architecture that highlights works with strong conceptual, constructive, and territorial coherence.

The publication highlights the studio’s approach, recently recognized as the winner of the Kömmerling Challenge, a competition focused on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability applied to contemporary architecture, promoted by Kömmerling. This recognition reinforces Slow Studio’s track record in developing projects that integrate environmental, technical, and spatial criteria from the initial design phases.

The home is conceived as a piece of sober and timeless domestic architecture, deeply linked to the environment and the Mediterranean climate. The project stems from a careful placement on the plot, seeking a balance between privacy, openness to the landscape, and solar control, and is developed through a clear and restrained volumetry.

The relationship between interior and exterior is one of the main pillars of the project. Spaces are organized to favor cross-ventilation, the entry of natural light, and visual continuity with the garden, thereby reducing the need for active systems and reinforcing a passive bioclimatic strategy. The materials, selected for their durability and low environmental impact, provide warmth and constructive honesty, reinforcing the domestic character of the home.

The publication in Síntesis Arquitectura recognizes the studio’s work in the field of single-family housing, valuing a design method based on simplicity, technical rigor, and a conscious look toward sustainability and spatial quality.
