Winners of the 2025 Catalonia Bioconstruction Awards

We are pleased to announce that the Casa en Serra d’Ordal has been awarded the 2025 Premi Bioconstrucció for Best Bioconstructed Home. This recognition honours projects committed to healthy, sustainable architecture that is respectful of its surroundings.

The jury particularly valued the project’s coherence, from its siting on the plot to the choice of natural materials and construction solutions that promote users’ wellbeing. The house, arranged on a single level around a central courtyard, combines bioclimatic strategies, rammed-earth walls, cork insulation, a green roof, and a photovoltaic system that enables near-zero energy consumption.

The award ceremony took place on April 25, 2025, as part of Firhàbitat, held in Avià. In this second edition of the Catalonia Bioconstruction Awards, a total of 22 projects were submitted, of which 5 were finalists in the Best Bioconstructed Home category.

This recognition reinforces our commitment to conscious architecture that prioritises people’s health and the regeneration of the territory.
