SLOW STUDIO IN PERIÓDICO REGIÓ 7

The architectural project Casa en Serra d’Ordal by Slow Studio has been featured by Regió7 as a finalist in the second edition of the Premis de Bioconstrucció de Catalunya 2025, in the “Premi Habitatge Bioconstruït” category. This recognition highlights excellence in sustainable design and harmonious integration with the natural environment.
Located in a natural setting in the Barcelona metropolitan area, the residence is distinguished by its bioclimatic design, which incorporates passive strategies to achieve zero energy consumption. Elements such as a central courtyard that acts as a light and heat collector, rammed earth walls with lime, cork insulation, and a green roof contribute to minimizing environmental impact and maximizing interior comfort.
The jury of the Premis de Bioconstrucció has particularly valued the project’s integration with the environment, the use of natural materials, and the sustainable solutions implemented—fundamental pillars in Slow Studio’s philosophy. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 25, within the framework of Firhàbitat in Avià, an event that celebrates healthy architecture in harmony with the territory.
This recognition by Regió7 and the Premis de Bioconstrucció highlights the importance of projects that, like Slow Studio’s project, promote responsible architecture adapted to current needs for sustainability and well-being.
