Serra d’Ordal House shortlisted for the Egurtek Awards 2026

We are especially pleased to share that Serra d’Ordal House, one of the projects developed by Slow Studio, has been selected as a finalist in the 8th edition of the Egurtek Awards, in the Local Wood – Basque Quality category.
The Egurtek Awards, organised by the Official Association of Basque-Navarre Architects (COAVN) and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), recognise the best works and proposals that promote timber architecture and construction, highlighting innovation, architectural quality and the responsible use of this material.
Serra d’Ordal House has been chosen as one of the three finalist projects in its category, alongside Almacén Agrícola en Lamixene and The Woods. Transformación del caserío de Aberanga Txikia.
This recognition represents an important endorsement of Slow Studio’s philosophy, based on bioclimatic architecture that combines passive design, natural materials and low-impact construction systems. In Serra d’Ordal House, timber plays a key role within a comprehensive strategy for decarbonisation, energy efficiency and wellbeing for its residents.
The winning projects will be announced on 28 October, during the Egurtek Awards ceremony, which will take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, coinciding with the international Egurtek congress.
We would like to thank the jury for this selection and congratulate the other finalist teams. For us, being part of this edition already represents recognition of the work carried out and of the shared commitment to driving more sustainable architecture.
We will continue to share updates as the awards ceremony approaches.
