Our project Casa en Serra d’Ordal has been shortlisted for the March Materials Architecture Awards 2025, an international competition focused on innovation and the use of sustainable materials in construction.

This year, 81 built projects have been selected, designed by more than 50 architects and studios. The shortlisted projects stand out for their bold, visionary architecture and their use of circular, local, and bio-based materials. Casa en Serra d’Ordal was recognised for its focus on bio-construction, energy efficiency, and passive techniques, adapted to the Mediterranean environment.

The March Materials Architecture Awards are led by three female founders and aim to promote sustainability as the standard in architecture, inviting participants to list up to five sustainable materials used in their projects.

March Materials is a visual platform for architects that connects images of architectural projects with sustainable materials, suppliers, and specialised construction professionals. Designed by architects for architects, its mission is to make it easier to use sustainable materials from the very start of a project, offering a design and sourcing tool that creative professionals can use every day.

In September, public voting will open, allowing anyone to support their favourite project for a chance to win the People’s Choice Award. The awards ceremony will be held on 15 October, when the winners in the different categories and the public award will be announced.
