Presentation at the United Nations Global Compact on Climate

Our partner Jade Serra participated on November 7 in the Sustainability Group of the United Nations Global Compact on Climate in Spain, with a presentation on Decarbonization of the Construction Sector.
The United Nations Global Compact on Climate is the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. It provides companies with information and capacity building, as well as experience sharing and the opportunity to create partnerships.
The Spanish representation promotes various working groups, including Sustainability in Construction, to take action on topics such as waste management, circularity, and decarbonization of the sector.
In her presentation, Jade Serra highlighted the role of the new EPBD directive, which positions Europe as a leader in global decarbonization, and reviewed the global decarbonization roadmaps that preceded the EPBD, while also providing tools and guidelines for decarbonizing the construction sector.
The group included the participation of more than 50 representatives from leading companies in the sector, and the session also featured a practical case study from the company Evintia, which has implemented a decarbonization roadmap in its operations.
