Leaders in Sustainability according to Arquitectura y Diseño

 

Arquitectura y Diseño magazine titles its latest October 2022 issue Houses in Favor of the Planet, the most eco-friendly of the year.

 

 

In the Paradigm Shift section, they include Slow Studio in the article 20 Leaders in Design and Sustainability by David Quesada and Cristina Ros.

The editors state that the sustainability of the planet concerns us all, emphasizing the need for the example and leadership of experts who pave new ways: visionary entrepreneurs, bold young creators, and well-grounded scientists.

For this reason, they have selected twenty professionals whose work may be away from the spotlight, but is fundamental to discerning the direction design and our way of life must take in the coming years to create a better world.

Regarding our studio, they highlighted our ability to lead by example through the combination of passive architecture principles and advanced technological solutions, which they note form a brilliant combination yielding excellent results.

Furthermore, they highlight our housing project in Sierra del Ordal as noteworthy. Commissioned by a highly environmentally conscious family, they not only achieved a self-sufficient home with a zero ecological footprint but also, in the post-COVID era, reimagined the classic dormitory town housing model to create authentic living and working spaces.
