BIOPHILIC TERRACE AND BALCONY DESIGN IN INTERIORES MAGAZINE

Interiores magazine once again features Slow Studio to discuss sustainable architecture and conscious design. In this new collaboration, the article focuses on a very relevant topic these days: how to design terraces and balconies that respect the environment, as well as people’s health and well-being.
Under the title “It is a mistake to use synthetic materials like artificial turf because they can emit toxins and overheat,” we share our vision on the importance of creating outdoor spaces that are in harmony with nature. We advocate for the use of natural materials, native vegetation, and passive design, even in small areas, as a way to reconnect with the essentials and avoid artificial solutions that can be harmful to the environment and health.
From material selection to the bioclimatic approach of the design, the report reviews some of the key decisions we make in each project to ensure healthy, sustainable, and meaningful spaces.
We thank Interiores once again for giving us the opportunity to continue promoting a design approach that is more consistent with natural rhythms and people’s true needs.
