Casa en Massís de les Planes features in a Muebles LUFE case study

Muebles LUFE has published a new case study titled “A home that adapts to those who live in it”, dedicated to our Casa en Massís de les Planes project, a single-family home where bioclimatic architecture, natural materials, and flexible spaces come together to meet the needs of a growing family.
The feature shows how the home, designed by Slow Studio on a steeply sloping plot, is arranged across different levels connected by an open staircase and a central atrium. This space links the various rooms, encouraging natural light and cross-ventilation—two key strategies for improving indoor comfort passively.
One of the article’s main highlights is the versatility of the spaces. The home includes rooms and shared areas designed to adapt to different uses over time, from bedrooms and workspaces to play or reading areas. This flexibility allows the house to evolve with its occupants without the need for major alterations.

In this context, Muebles LUFE furniture is integrated throughout the different rooms with solid pine pieces that bring warmth, functionality, and versatility. The choice of natural materials and simple designs complements the architectural proposal, reinforcing the idea of creating spaces that can adapt to family routines and the passage of time.
The feature, with art direction by ALTOPLANO, photography by Ariadna Puigdomènech, and video by Sandwich Studio, captures the relationship between architecture, furniture, and everyday life. The production is completed with rugs by Lorena Canals and artworks by Susana Uriach, which add texture, colour, and personality to the interiors.
We would like to thank Muebles LUFE for the collaboration and for publishing this case study, as well as all the professionals who took part in its production. The project reflects a shared way of understanding design, where natural materials, functionality, and adaptability help create spaces intended to accompany people throughout their lives.
