Circular economy represents a profound paradigm shift in the way we produce and consume, moving away from the linear model of extraction, production, consumption, and disposal to focus on a model where design accounts for potential waste, the future life of materials, and the economic processes that aid in the regeneration of natural systems.<\/p>\n

In a linear economy, where products are manufactured, used, and discarded, waste is an inherent part of the system. In contrast, in a circular economy, waste regains its meaning as something residual. In this way, buildings become banks for future materials. For this to be possible, they must be designed to be disassembled and their materials must be free of toxins. <\/p>\n

In the case of our Casa el Monte el Pardo<\/a> project, its prefabricated CLT wood structure allows it to be reused at the end of its useful life. Furthermore, the building itself can utilize materials or elements from previous works, such as the second-hand biomass boiler. <\/p>\n
