When we launched Slow Studio in 2011, we embarked on the dual objective of building net-zero consumption<\/strong> projects that respect people’s health<\/strong>, but also of explaining to the world that the only possible way to build is one that stems from a deep environmental consciousness.<\/strong><\/p>\n Sharing our research openly through our blog and social media led us to achieve over 50,000 monthly visits \u2014 according to our IT specialists \u2014 far more than some national newspapers.<\/p>\n We had no doubt that the reason for the success of our outreach, parallel to the studio’s activity, was the growing awareness among many families of the need to inhabit spaces that consume no energy and ensure people’s health.<\/p>\n This is how clients began to contact us, initially seeking “net-zero consumption<\/strong> homes,” and a few years later, after the COVID pandemic, they added the need to ensure “health and well-being<\/strong>” in indoor environments.<\/p>\n Net-zero consumption and health<\/strong> had been our starting points from the very beginning, and we consciously trained in bioclimatism and bioconstruction<\/strong> to rigorously carry out efficient and healthy projects, something we gradually perceived was gaining traction in society.<\/p>\n However, the truth is that these premises, though indispensable, are no longer sufficient today, in a scenario of climate emergency.<\/strong><\/p>\n Net-zero consumption and health are essential concerns that look inward, towards a family’s own well-being, and now it seems we are beginning to understand that our health does not depend solely on us, but is closely connected to the health of the planet. This is why we must begin to look outward, moving towards construction in harmony with the rest of the planet.<\/strong> <\/p>\n Building consciously with a reduced impact on the planet and on people<\/strong> has become a matter of survival.<\/strong><\/p>\n And this new outward perspective cannot be merely metaphorical; it must be put into practice literally.
