The programme is directed and hosted by Josep Llu\u00eds Bl\u00e1zquez. <\/p>\n<p>The episode, titled \u201c<em>Award-winning homes, materials of the future and plenty of architecture books for the summer<\/em>\u201d, took the form of a debate among award-winning architects, sharing perspectives on the present and future of living, responsible materials, and the transformative role of architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Among the featured voices, Jade Serra, architect and partner at Slow Studio, presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/arquitectura\/casa-sierra-ordal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Casa en Serra d\u2019Ordal<\/a>, one of the homes recognised in this edition of the awards granted by the Col\u00b7legi d\u2019Aparelladors de Barcelona (CATEB). She shared the key principles of this project, located in a protected natural setting, highlighting its holistic approach, combining bioclimatic architecture, healthy materials, and a low ecological footprint. <\/p>\n<p>The home, Jade explained, was conceived using passive design criteria from the outset: strategic orientation, cross ventilation, natural insulation, and the use of non-industrialised local materials. Beyond energy efficiency, she emphasised the importance of designing with environmental sensitivity, seeking not only to minimise impacts, but to regenerate the surroundings and safeguard the health of those who inhabit the spaces. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8293 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/salvalopez_slowstudio_ordal_084_r.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/salvalopez_slowstudio_ordal_084_r.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/salvalopez_slowstudio_ordal_084_r-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/salvalopez_slowstudio_ordal_084_r-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.slowstudio.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/salvalopez_slowstudio_ordal_084_r-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the programme, Joan Batlle and Cl\u00e0udia Am\u00edas, from the Batlle i Roig practice, also shared their experience with Casa TR80, another award-winning project. In the exchange between the three architects, topics included the need to adapt to the climate, the importance of simple and durable construction systems, and the sector\u2019s collective responsibility in transforming the existing building stock. <\/p>\n<p>The debate highlighted different design strategies, yet the same ethical direction: practising architecture rooted in place, efficiency, and respect. The conversation moved between technical details, design decisions, and reflections on the future of living in a context of climate emergency. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can listen to the full
